Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Your email address, collected via Gumroad at checkout.
• The YouTube URLs you submit for processing.
• The video files, clips, transcripts, AI analysis, and generated captions/content produced from what you submit.
• Any brand-voice information you choose to provide — tone, audience, values, or past content you paste in to train the writing style. This is optional and only used if you fill it in.
• Usage data tied to your license key: how many videos you've processed and when, so we can enforce your plan's limits.

2. What we don't collect

We don't ask you to create a password — access is controlled by a license key instead. We never see or store your card number or other payment details; that goes directly to Gumroad, our payment processor.

3. How we use it

To run the video through the pipeline you asked for — downloading it, analyzing it, cutting clips, and writing captions — and to enforce the usage limits of your plan. We don't use your submitted videos or brand-voice information to train any model beyond generating your own output, and we don't sell your data.

4. Who we share it with

Running the service requires sending parts of your data to a small number of third-party processors:

• xAI (Grok) — receives your video's transcript, title, and any brand-voice text you've provided, to generate scores, captions, and written content. Subject to xAI's own privacy policy.
• Gumroad — receives your email and payment details to process billing and generate your license key. Subject to Gumroad's own privacy policy.

We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't sell it.

5. Data retention

Downloaded videos, generated clips, and analysis are stored on our servers so you can access them while your account is active. We don't currently have automated deletion after a fixed period — if you want your data removed, contact us and we'll delete it manually.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee complete security. Submit content accordingly.

7. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and everything tied to it at any time by contacting us.

8. Children's privacy

The Forge is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
